Washington families are working harder than ever just to get by. That’s why legislators from across the state supported legislation to strengthen our economy and help workers support their families. Unfortunately, your Representative Lynda Wilson voted against three key pieces of economic legislation this biennium.1,2,3

construction worker

No Washingtonian who works more than 40 hours a week should still live in poverty. In fact, more than half of people in our state who earn the minimum wage are over 30 years old, and many support a family.
State Rep. Lynda Wilson voted NO and it failed.

female co-worker

Here in Southwestern Washington, fairness matters. It’s only fair that women who do the same work as men should be paid the same. Washingtonians believe in giving everyone, including women, a fair opportunity at the American Dream. Women in our state only make 79 cents for every dollar a man makes for doing the same work.
State Rep. Lynda Wilson voted NO and it failed.

sick kid

Earned sick leave is the responsible way to prevent the spread of disease in workplaces and schools. Without sick leave, people must make dangerous, difficult choices that impact the health and safety of our entire community. Nearly one million workers in Washington state – a third – don’t currently have earned sick leave.
State Rep. Lynda Wilson voted NO and it failed.
